So it was 30 years ago that James responded to an ad placed by Lars in a local paper. The two of them where joined by Dave and Cliff to become one of the most influential metal bands of all time!

The line up has changed over the years but Lars and James have remained at the forefront of metal for all that time.

In 1983 Kill ‘Em All was released one of the best metal debut albums ever, Followed but the mighty Ride The Lighting in 84′. Two albums in two years and the iconic unmistakable Metallica sound was born…..

Master Of Puppets followed in 86′, Then came And Justice For All in 88′ which contained the the single One which made it into the American top 40.

The next album which was released in 1991 made Metallica into a house hold name. The album was called simply Metallica but most of us know it as the ‘Black Album’. It spent 4 weeks at number 1 in the US and the 5 singles from this album all made it in to the UK top 40!

We have some awesome merch to help celebrate the last 30 years and also a 20 year anniversary Black Album shirt, check ‘em out
